Stuart gained his Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of Dundee in 1984.
After expanding his skills and knowledge at the renowned Eastman Institute in London, including occlusion and restorative courses in 1988/9 and the year long hands-on Implantology course in 1998, before successfully completing the Masters degree in Dental Implantology at the Charles Clifford Dental School, Sheffield in July 2008.
In 1992 he began private practice in Hallgate Cottingham and later relocated to a new fully refurbished 200 year old building on Northgate.
He is committed to postgraduate education and training having undertaken study extensively throughout the UK as well as USA, France, Italy and Sweden. In 2009 he presented work from his Master’s thesis at the prestigious European Association for Osseointegration conference in Monaco. He regularly lectures to colleagues and clinicians and provides professional mentoring to fellow dental surgeons.
Stuart has more than 30 years of clinical experience in all forms of cosmetic and restorative procedures as well as treatment of TMJ dysfunction. He has held private clinics in Manchester, Leeds and York and now as part of the team at Caring Dentistry in Cottingham he provides complex restorative treatments and maintains a referral service for restorative and implant dentistry, receiving referrals from colleagues throughout East Yorkshire.
Stuart currently also has practicing rights at Spire Hull and East Riding hospital which is one of only a handful of places nation wide to provide Zygomatic implants.
Stuart is an active member of the British Dental Association and the Association of Dental Implantology.
